RCE Capital Berhad donates medical equipment worth RM99,000 for ICU Ward to Hospital Ampang, Selangor.
KUALA LUMPUR: In support of public healthcare system to treating critical COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit (“ICU”) Ward, our sole financier, RCE Capital Berhad (“RCE”) further donates medical equipment to Hospital Ampang (“HA”). The confirmed daily cases in Malaysia has soared to a record high of 21,668 one week ago.
The medical equipment worth RM99,000 consist of 1 unit of Hamilton-C1 mechanical ventilator and 5 units of Medcaptain MP-30 Syringe Pump. These medical equipment are crucial in supporting the delivery of oxygen therapy to COVID-19 patients.
HA is a government hospital in Selangor established since 2006, which provides medical specialist services, clinical and non-clinical healthcare support services. The hospital is equipped with medical facilities of 17 wards and 562 inpatient beds. In June 2021, HA has become a COVID-19 specialised hospital following continuous daily cases spike.
RCE has embarked on various corporate social responsibility programmes which focus on promoting health awareness over the years. On 29 and 22 July 2021, RCE also donated medical equipment cumulatively worth RM197,000 for ICU Ward to Hospital Sungai Buloh, Selangor and Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang respectively. RCE is hopeful that these contributions could help to ensure COVID-19 patients receive quality medical treatments and alleviate the burden of healthcare front liners.
