KUALA LUMPUR: As the COVID-19 pandemic situation remains dire, our business partner, RCE Capital Berhad (“RCE”) and Group of Companies made donation of medical equipment to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (“HKL”). The initiative is to support public healthcare system on treating critical COVID-19 patients in the wards.
The medical equipment worth RM97,000 consist of 4 units of Medcaptain MP-30 Syringe Pump and 15 units of Sanuvox BIOPÜR Advanced Portable Air Purifier. These medical equipments are crucial in supporting the delivery of oxygen therapy to COVID-19 patients and help reduce airborne viruses for rooms up to 800 square feet.
HKL was founded in 1870. It is the largest government hospital under the Ministry of Health of Malaysia, equipped with 83 wards and 2,300 inpatient beds. The hospital has 28 clinical departments and provides 12 clinical support services.
Over the years, RCE has been focusing on promoting health awareness through various corporate social responsibility programmes. RCE also donated close to RM300,000 worth of medical equipment to the intensive care wards of Hospital Ampang, Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah on 17 August, 29 and 22 July 2021 respectively. RCE is hopeful that these contributions could help our healthcare system to manage medical device shortage issue and provide essential medical treatments to COVID-19 patients.
